Coaching Hub
As Chairman of Pannal Sports JFC, I am often asked what success looks like for the club. I believe our website says it all:
“While we enjoy winning, we believe that the club’s success is measured more by how we develop players, how we play the game and how we conduct ourselves rather than by the number of games or trophies won.
The club’s ethos emphasises the development of players as individuals and as footballers. We believe our first duty is to ensure the children are safe and have fun taking part. Then, by teaching football skills as well as self-respect, respect for team-mates, coaches, opponents and match officials alike, we believe that not only will they benefit but so too will the game of football as well as the wider community.”
This club ethos is fundamental and must be at the heart of everything we do. As the people who have the responsibility to make this a reality, I therefore believe that our volunteer coaches are the most important people in the club.
That’s why we have put together this section of the website to support you in being the best coach you can be and to equip you to develop our players so they can live up to our values.
